Coronary Seclusion

CabinFinders is proud to add Coronary Seclusion to our rental inventory list. Although the pictures can speak for themselves, I was so impressed by this home I must give you my impressions of the afternoon I spent there.

There is a steep elevation to the lake with steps built into the hill. By the end of the week you will be going up and down these with ease. If that is not the case, then there is a lift that will take you and your gear down to the lake. THE LIFT IS TO BE OPERATED BY ADULTS ONLY.

Enchanting old world charm will surround you from the moment you enter the property. The majestic pines and heavily wooded grounds offer great shade and privacy. Stroll the cobblestone walk to the front door of this log home topped by moss coated cedar shingles.

Entering the living room is a treat. The feeling is one of casual elegance. Three stories of windows will bring the outdoors in and offer a fabulous view of the forest and lake. Wide plank flooring throughout the main floor enhances the warmth of the log walls and beamed ceilings. Snuggling in front of the impressive stone fireplace with the warm glow of a fire and good book is hard to beat on a cool fall day. But engaging in lively conversation with friends can be even better.

The living room flows into the dining room with its family sized table. Of course you may choose instead to have your meals on the deck. The kitchen has wonderful cabinetry and is well-equipped. Help yourself to a seat at the counter for a casual breakfast or to keep the cook company. The laundry room located just off the kitchen.

The spacious, yet cozy master bedroom suite is in the upstairs loft. This bedroom does over look the living room, so it is not entirely private. However the other three bedrooms are a distance away on the lower level. The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and a reading chair. But the chaise is perfect for your afternoon nap. The lovely master bath is adjacent to the bedroom.

Follow the expansive stairway to the large family room on the lower level. Another fireplace with comfy seating and walk-out patio doors to the lake side of the home offer room for family and friends to share your lake experience. Three bedrooms and a bath are also on the lower level. The boys’ bunk room has a set of bunk beds three tall. We suggest using only the first two bunk beds. The girls’ room is pretty in pink with two twin beds. A white iron double bed is in the third bedroom.

Because of all the charm and beauty both inside and out, the homeowners have chosen to not have cable or satellite hook up. Although there is a TV, it can be used only for your own taped movies. Wireless internet is provided.

Big Trout Lake is part of the wonderful Whitefish Chain of Lakes and is situated at the northeast corner of the chain. This huge chain is a favorite water playground for boating, water skiing, and fishing.

In the summertime, I will have my first cup of coffee on the large deck – where the morning lake breezes and sweetly singing birds are playing in the pines.
