This delightful, cozy log cottage could be perfect for you and your family or friends. Anchor Cottage is near the end of a point, on the channel between Rush and Upper Whitefish Lakes. The channel is a "no wake zone" meaning boats will be moving gently past. There are a few steps down to the dock and swimming is off the dock.

Walking into this comfortably furnished, completely knotty pine home, will tell that you have arrived "Up North". The log furniture confirms that fact. The great room combines the living room, dining room and kitchen. This comfortable space provides the warm atmosphere of community with guests and family, to say nothing of keeping the cook in the conversation. The wonderful fieldstone fireplace competes with the great outdoors for your attention. Both the dining and living room have fabulous views of the lake. The wrap around deck is just off the kitchen. There you will find outdoor seating for dining, reading, bird watching or just plain summertime relaxing. Also on the main floor are a full bath and two bedrooms each with a full sized bed.

The large sleeping loft makes a great place for the children to sleep - or to hang out during the occasional rainy day. Two twin beds and a futon sleeper provide plenty of sleeping space. There is a TV with minimal reception [two network channels]. But do enjoy your own favorite movies on either the DVD or VCR player.

My first cup of coffee will be enjoyed while sitting on the deck glider listening to the early morning twittering of the birds. And remember, there will be no telephone to disturb me.
